International Student Summit

Multiple Sessions - Join us for the entire afternoon or attend a specific session! Join us for the International Student Summit, a day filled with informative sessions, a panel discussion, and networking opportunities designed specifically for international students. Whether you're seeking guidance on Optional Practical Training (OPT), looking to enhance your resume writing skills, or interested in gaining insights from successful professionals, this event has something for everyone.

Event Schedule:

12:00 PM - 1:15 PM: OPT Session Learn about Optional Practical Training (OPT), an essential program for international students to gain work experience in the United States. Our expert speakers will guide you through the OPT application process, eligibility criteria, and how to make the most of this opportunity. There will be time for Q and A and a Meet and Greet.

1:30 - 2:45: Resume + Application Tips Crafting a compelling resume is vital for your job search success. In this session, our career advisors will provide valuable tips and strategies to create impressive application materials that showcase your skills and experiences effectively. There will be time for Q and A and a Meet and Greet.

3:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Panel Discussion Join our panel of international professionals and students as they share their personal journeys, challenges, and triumphs in navigating the United States job market and the student experience. Gain valuable insights and have the opportunity to learn more about various paths and best practices.

4:00 - 5:00 - Mix and Mingle Wrap up the day with an informal networking session where you can connect with fellow international students, panelists, and event organizers. Share your experiences, exchange contact information, and build valuable connections for your future endeavors. Career Center and International Office staff will be available to answer your questions and meet briefly with you. Refreshments will be provided.
